About

Gregory Carter: Painting Life’s Moments with Passion and Light

Mission

For Gregory Carter, art has always been more than just a craft—it’s a way of seeing and feeling the world. A Georgia native, Greg was immersed in creativity from an early age, inspired by his father, a dedicated graphic designer, illustrator, and fine artist. That early exposure sparked a lifelong passion that led him to graduate with honors from the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, in 1997.

After a successful career as a freelance illustrator, Greg returned to his true love—painting. His highly impressionistic style captures the fleeting beauty of everyday life, transforming landscapes, cityscapes, and figures into vibrant, textured compositions. With bold strokes and richly layered paint, he invites viewers into a world where colors dance, light shimmers, and ordinary moments become extraordinary.

Vision

The edge of abstraction, where sculptural forms and soft, blurred images come together to create meditative figures, lyrical beach scenes, and the warm ambiance of cafés. Whether inspired by his travels abroad or the simple, soulful rhythm of daily life, Greg’s paintings have a way of drawing people in—stirring nostalgia, curiosity, and joy.

Exhibited across the United States and featured in U.S. Art and Southwest Art magazines, Greg’s work continues to resonate with collectors and art lovers alike. His paintings don’t just depict scenes; they capture emotions, inviting you to pause, reflect, and lose yourself in their beauty.
